What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

Do I need experience or some minimum level of fitness?

CrossFit is for anyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Our members range from high level athletes, law enforcement officers, fire fighters, grandmothers in their 60’s and office workers. We have members of all shapes and sizes and backgrounds. In short, if you care about health, real world performance, or just want to look better naked, CrossFit is for you!

What if I have never worked out before (or haven’t worked out in 10+ years)?

We will take great care of you! Our expert coaches will scale and modify to make sure you are doing the right exercise and intensity level for you from day 1. If you are still nervous please come in and speak with one of our coaches or observe a running class to see what CrossFit is really like at CrossFit Deerfield Beach.

I have past injuries. Can I still do CrossFit?

We are not doctors (and we highly recommend you discuss any exercise with yours) we do however, have many members who have successfully used CrossFit to get into shape and get back from injuries. Our high level coaches are there every step of the way to aid you in scaling or modifying to make sure you are not being put in any painful or compromising positions.

Is there a class I can learn the movements of CrossFit in if I am new?

Yes we highly recommend all members new to CrossFit attend our introductory course.

What should I bring?

You will need clothing for exercise (shorts, t shirt, and sneakers). We provide everything else you may need.

Yes. CrossFit Deerfield Beach has a shower in our lounge bathroom open to all members for their convenience!

What is CrossFit Deerfield Beach Barbell Club?

CrossFit Deerfield Beach Barbell Club (Integrity Barbell) is a weightlifting club focused on the Olympic Lifts in the sport of weightlifting (Snatch and Clean and Jerk) and the strength movements associated with the lifts. Barbell Club meets Monday and Wednesday nights at 7pm. This class is offered to members and non-members.

What are our kids/teens classes? How old does my child/teen need to be to attend?

CrossFit Deerfield Beach offers CrossFit kids classes on Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm and Teens classes on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. These classes integrate exercise and a fun environment to keep your child/teen active. CrossFit kids ages are 5-11 and teens are 12-18.
